Studiomama created a limited edition furniture collection for Marc Jacobs – upholstered in fabric that was intended originally for clothing. The pieces were exhibited in Marc by Marc Jacobs flagship stores in Milan to coincide with the city’s annual Salone furniture fair and New York during ICFF and NYCxDesign.

The Re-Imagined collection

The Re-Imagined collection comprised a sofa, a daybed, four chairs and a footstool, all upholstered in Marc by Marc Jacobs fabric.

Based on the ‘Life After Catwalk’ chair and upholstered in fabric intended originally for a day dress – the one-off Mirror Chair features a mirror embedded into a rotating backrest in an unusual twist on the traditional chair, table and mirror vanity set.

The chairs were shown in Marc by Marc Jacobs flagship stores in Milan to coincide with the city’s annual Salone furniture fair and New York during ICFF and NYCxDesign – and the Mirror Chair was exhibited as part of Wallpaper* Handmade during Milan Design Week.

The FT’s How To Spend It called the collaboration ‘a veritable style coup’. Yatzer named it among its ‘Best of New York Design Week’.
